Time to get the shopping list ready.

I can’t wait. I received money for Christmas with a note on it that said “for Trains”.

I’ll be there first thing waiting for the show to open with money burning a hole in my pocket.

3 weeks to go. ANyone else have plans?

Will be on the bus with Christmas money in pocket. Only problem is that there are so many choices. Don’t have anything specific in mind, which makes it harder to choose.

Ready to look and plan to spend.

Have fun,

Richard

The Model RR Group from Boothbay Railway Village will be in our usual spot in section 15 of the Better Living Center. We have started packing items already. Yesterday we were looking at what craftsman kit buidings in our inventory can not be used on our layout and can be sold, also a bunch of O Scale track on like new condition was donated a couple of months ago. This is our big annual fund raiser to support continued construction of our layout. Drop by and say HI. Unfortunately, due to family considerations, I will not be able to attend again this year. [sigh]

I’m all ready to go! My buddy Dan-O and I will be waiting outside the Better Living Center when the doors open at 9:00 on Saturday. Don’t have anything specific in mind to buy - perhaps some signals and detail items for the new layout, and there are some interesting-looking books that have come out recently.

The best thing about this show is that you always stumble upon at least one item of interest that you NEVER KNEW EXISTED!

Be right there with you guys. I’m as excited for the show as kids are at Christmas. I received money “for trains” for the holiday so its burning a hole in my pocket.

Well, I have no money, but I’ll be there with my 9 year old train buddy (my youngest son) in tow. We’ll poke around until he gets tired, then go home. Unfortunately, the show is also the same weekend as my Cub Scout pack’s annual Pinewood Derby race, so we only get Saturday morning and early afternoon there.

Should be a great time, though.

I was all prepared to finally attend this show this year, but family medical problems mean I will not be able to travel. Maybe next year.

Going on Sunday this year. My friend and I only go to two different shows, Cheshire and Amherst, which is my favorite.

My wife said do you want me to go Christmas shopping for you, or do you want some extra cash for the train show. (Silly Girl) Well, Okay Dear, but just to save you the burden of shopping for me (Sigh).

See you there! Den.

Too bad Randy, I know how those things can kind of surprise you having a bout myself in August. We’ll all save you a spot for next year.

Hope everything works out for the best.

Derek

Man, do think I’m lucky or what; The wife said she is holding off on any Christmas gifts for me, because she said it’s easy for her to let me pick out what I want at the Springfield Show, and also my birthday gift at the same time. My birthday is Jan. 28th how lucky is that. She said she can kill 2 birds with one stone. I said Honey, Christmas, and birthday, you need two stones. She agreed. Can’t wait.

We haven’t gone for a while, due to my employment status (aka: none). I do miss going… By the way, is it me or did they go a little light on the advertising for this year’s show?

Two more weeks and counting. Hope everyone has their shopping lists ready. Be sure to check the vendor list before you go. There can be last minute additions and occasional relocations due to space considerations. Let’s hope for decent weather.

One week to go. Be sure you have comfortable shoes because the show covers 4 buildings with more than 7 acres of floor space. At last count there were 479 vendors/exhibitors.

It cant come fast enough but the weather doesnt look that promising, there talking snow UGH!

During our weekly work session yesterday, the model railroaders at the Boothaby Railway Village did our final pricing and packing of sale items. We were fortunate to get a late donation of 1950s vintage Lionel equipment including structures, track, and a couple of locomotives that run. We also repacked and re-priced a selection of cast and stained hydrocal rocks that are ready to place in scenery. come see us at section 15 BLC. We pack the vehicles next Thursday and hit the road to W. Springfield Friday morning. The extended weather forcast says snow; hope that changes for the better before than. It’s always cold; we can live that.

7 days, 9 hours and 11 minutes until im there, but whos counting?

I’m not counting the days…[;)][:-^]

Don’t worry about the weather. This is New England. As Mark Twain once said, “If you don’t like our weather, just wait a while.” Seriously, they call for"snow" anytime they expect precipitation and temps below freezing. Even if it does snow, just wait it out. Roads are clear within a couple of hours of even a major storm.
