I heard Amtrak derailed near fort madison Iowa anyone heard more about it?
Here’s the story from KHQA TV. Not much is known yet.
Both engines, and one wheel or one axle of the first car. I slapped my Dad when he told me for not taking pictures of it as he is the yard foreman (or something like that) up there.
I drove up tonight, couldn’t see any damage to the units or baggage car from the station parking lot, and didn’t want to get in the way without someone going over there with me who was a BNSF employee and non of my family was there at this point so I just zoomed in. Will post the pic by morning (or as soon as I find my memory card reader).
