Amtrak #14 delay?

Anyone know about the Amtrak #14 between LA and Portland ,Will it be able to go through from Klamath and Eugene?? Thanks DaveBr.

Thanks anyway<I guess no one knows nothing.

Try checking with the travel agent that sold you your tickets. Or, go to Amtrak.com and check with their website. Or, Call Amtrak directly and talk with one of their employees.

Yep, www.amtrak.com should be your best source of information regarding everything and anything within their website. Check it out.

Right from the front page of the AMTRAK website, you can request train status. Putting in PDX for the arriving station (Portland) and specifying train 14, you get at 1250 PDT today the following:

Estimated arrival: 4 hours and 4 minutes late.

As of the last report at 11:30 am between Dunsmuir, CA (DUN) and Klamath Falls, OR (KFS), it was running 5 hours and 45 minutes late.

Sometimes the server is down for train status, but most of the time, it’s up and providing fairly current information. Some of the airlines have comparable capabilities, like Southwest, for instance. Actuals are posted, I think, within a couple of minutes of when they happen.

All in all, it’s a pretty cool capability.

Figure it will be late, it almost always is and has been for years.

Thank you Chuck>>>>>>> Dave

I watched 14 come through Brooklyn Yard on the webcam exactly seven hours late that evening. Tonight’s train is showing over six hours late already.

What do you expect of UP for a passenger train to run on time.

Think I recall hearing it through Burbank well after noon today. So I don’t think it even left on time, for some reason. Doesn’t it normally leave LA about 10AM?
