Anyone here have the Bachmann HO acela set with the two engines one powered and one dummy? I know the dummy is lacking a motor but i was wondering if the dummy unit still had lighting in place like the powered unit, seems kinda dumb not to have included that. Also are they DCC ready? Thanks!
The dummy has lighting and it is all DCC ready.

The dummy has no socet for a decoder. Needs to be hard wired iin.

Heh, yeah i was only wondering if the dummy had lights, i knew it wouldn’t have any decoder options, i was asking that for the set in general. Thanks again!
Yes the dummy engine has directional lights/ditchlights. No socet. If you want to convert the Acela to DCC, just plug in a decoder in the engine, and hard wire a function only decoder in he dummy. For sound, a regular decoder in the engine, and a sound only soundtraxx decoder in the dummy could be a good option. Although, I have not done this before.
