So maybe someday I can take Amtrak to Steamtown!
It’s great to see mass transit options expanding into the greater Philadelphia region. Maybe one day rail can replace this bus survice. How about bus service or, better yet, rail service up the very busy 422 corridor to Reading? This service was proposed years ago and Septa originally provided behind F-units.
Until such time as rail serves these destinations again, this new bus service spells greater connectivity to rail. That’s a good thing in itself.
This is really good! My daughter’s going to college in DC & we live in Ithaca NY, 2 hours from Scranton. The bus/rail will be very handy for us. Thanks, Amtrak!
This is great but why does it pass right by Allentown? It could get off the turnpike loop around to the K-mart shopping center where it could connect with the LANTA 107 bus. The Lehigh valley is the third largest metropolitan area in Pennsylvania behind PHL and PGH
