I have previously posted this request on the Info for Prototypes forum and seem to have come to a dead end, although I did get some very helpful information.
I hope I don’t get chastised for repeating myself, but here goes:-
Back in ‘I think’ 2001, there was an Amtrak Coach decorated to promote the Lion King movie, I wish to make decals for this car in N scale.
I have some photos, but a really good side on shot would be great, can anyone help.
The last item I need is the phone number under “Call Ticketmaster” (I have the last few numbers, but not the start of the line), and the text above “Pantages Theatre”, this is all on the right hand end of the coach, any!!! help will be really appreciated.

Ted,
Understandable. You’re referring to the vinyl graphics that Amtrak applied to some of its equipment for some corporate customers. I worked for the HART LINE tranist authority in Tampa. We charged clients $10,000 per year to display large advertisement graphics on our buses. We called them “Rolling Billboards”. Was a good money maker, though it’s a shame that the billboard ads they’re doing now look hideous. Our most popular and photographed billboard bus back in the early 1990s was the one for STAR TREK The Next Generation. Most of the bus was black, dotted with stars and an enourmous graphic of the USS Enterprise stood out.
HART LINE kept photos of this type of work in its historical archives. Contact Amtrak and connect with their Marketing department. There’s a very good chance that they have good shots of the Lion King car.
Hope this helps.
FP45, what a wonderful loco, back to the subject at hand.
Thanks for the advice, I never gave thought to contacting Amtrak.
I have now done so, and will wait to see if they are able to assist.

Glad the suggestion was helpful.
I’ve contacted Amtrak in the past for info. Be aware that it is a bueracracy so persistence pays off just in case you get a “Well I’m not to sure who would know this” type of response, especially considering that Amtrak is required to keep accurate marketing expenditure records.
Let us know how it goes.[:D]
Peace
I have contacted Amtrak, unfortunately I haven’t had any response and it has been several days now, I would suspect that I may not be successful through this approach, oh well! we tried.
Thanks for the assistance, one really would have thought there would be a heap of photos of such an attention seeking car around, but I guess not.
