That is an quite a place to get a really interesting shot (s). In fact the three shots referenced in the photo comments are really nice. Not seeing any AMTRAK trains down here in South Sentral Kansas, I was struck by the difference in colors on the engines. Is that a product of sun exposure or really different colors of paint ? ( The only passenger equipment I seen recently has been UP, armor yellow, and for some reason the BNSF’s passenger [Official Trains] stuff seems to run through here at night.[X-)]
I’m not exactly sure why the colors vary. It’s just that some engines are lighter than others. (Think about the way BNSF’s SD70MACs look v. SD70ACes, maybe.)
