There’s just somthing different, something interesting about these engines. They look a lot better than the P42s right now, that’s for sure. I like them!
It’s a shame they repainted it though. I think that the “Pepsi Can” was Amtrak’s best paint scheme by far. This one just seems kind of “plain vanilla” compared to it. Not necessarily bad, but sort of uninspired.
I agree. They looked much better in the Pepsi can scheme.
Have you ever seen the full carbody style of this loco? I seen it in Ft Worth some time ago but it was a very good looking loco…It looked like an f unit with the wings and wide cab…Didnt get a # tho…Danny
