Just returned from Austin,Chicgo Eagle run , with the “new” micro-wave diner menue very very disappointed. The worst food in 13 years of riding Amtrak.
All fellow sleeping car passengers shared the same view. Anyone else have any simular experiances?[:(]

Be Prepared for more of this stuff coming. We could be back to the days of the 1980’s with the Microwaved Stuff ICK!!!
Only experienced the real Dining Car. Outstanding food. Sounds like your change is one in the WRONG direction.

Also was told that the only real dining service will be on the CZ and the EB this is sad

Also there will be real Diner Service on the Auto Train and Possibly the Starlight and 1 of the 2 Flordia Triains.

OMG, getting a flashback of the Horn and Hardart Automat near Reading Terminal in Philly.
That works too, but I was thinking more along the lines of the Espee Sunset in the later years.[:)]
