Amtrak “Exhibit Train” to visit Montana
The city of Havre is also located in…Hill County!
Its cool…but not so much when we had to stop our already 3 hour late empire builder to pick this train up and take it with us to seattle. Sighhh we didnt really expect to be on time anyway lol.
Amtrak Station personnel in Havre, MT are the greatest. Arrived there with boxed bicycles and Agent went way over call of duty to assist us with unboxing and use of facilities. Back in 2006 but a fond memory!
I made an enroute stopover at Havre during the Lewis & Clark Expedition bicentennial to spend a few days in Montana, and go visit friends and relatives. Originally, I had planned stopping at Shelby, but unfortunately, the connecting bus service to Billings was discontinued and I had no choice but to rent a car our of Havre. The rental agent met me at the station and even transported me back when I returned the vehicle. I also enjoyed visiting the museum there.
