It looks like amtrack might be gone for good. Will class 1 railroads with their business trains take amtrak or it’s not going to happen?
Can anybody else make any sense out of this? I can’t.

I doubt it, after all, amtrak trains and business trains are two totally seperate and different entities. Business trains are expensive and luxurious, whereas other passenger trains that are dedicated are as minimal as possible to still provide comfort. Plus, class ones wouldn’t have any business trains left! Not to mention that the meagre amount of coaches they have would go nowhere near covering all the routes, two or three trains at the very most, and on a system like UP or BNSF that’s not going to go very far.
Wait, why is Amtrak going to be gone for good? The last thing I’ve heard about Amtrak is that they have been included in the evacuation system for the Gulf Coast, which would vurtually insure that they will be made solvent enough to still forfill that requirement.
Amtrak is not going anywhere, it will be around for 100 Years from Now.[2c]
