Hi

What kind of paint would you recommend painting undecorated engine? Also, what colors

would use to paint an Amtrak GE P32BWH (Dash8-32BWH) ?

Hi Chris,

As for starting from scratch, that is a good question.
I would think that there may be an internet resource that may give the paint codes for those units, depending on the era, or phase modeled.

When I detailed an HO Atlas unit, I realized the extent of the paint scheme, & I did not realize how much & precise the scheme was until I had it in my grasp. At that point I was almost glad it was already done & I was just detailing it…

I am interested in this too, so I hope someone ‘in the know’ will respond so we can customize a model or few in the future!

If you’re doing a Pepsi can, there was an article back in the early 90s in RMC about doing it.
