I checked it out…really love your sight! Are you planning to re-paint the talgos in Cascades scheme complete with a Cabbage or will leave them as they are?
Thanks!! Yes I am planing to paint the talgos and try to build the talgo fins. I just have to find the exact brown and green. Thanks again.
Great Amtrak photos! I love the acela express!
Thanks for sharing!
Checking out the site soon!
The platform and shed in your pictures, is that a model of a particular station or freelanced?
Nice job!!
Very cool shot underneath the station’s platforms. That’s creative!
I went to your website and enjoyed seeing that concrete Shop Building. I’ve always been interested in locomotive servicing shops and facilities. Great work! [;)][8D]
What materials did you fabricate it from?
BTW: I see you’re in the Bronx. In the late 60s, as a little kid, I lived with my parents in a 5 story building just underneath the Bruckner Expressway. (looked just like one of the Walthers “Cornerstone” buildings). Across the street from my parents 3rd floor bedroom window was a great view of the NEC’s 4 track mainline. Of course at the time I had no idea that I was looking at Pennsy and New Haven trains whipping by (later Penn Central). Even though I was a kid, I distinctly remember the NH EF4s (PC E33) as that orange paint scheme and rectangular shape stood out. These cruised by rather slowly.
Amazes me how much things have changed. Today it’s HH8s, Acelas, AEM7s, and CSX diesels. So there’s still plenty of action for railfanning from good vantage points along the sidewalk. [;)]
Sad to say that the last time I visited New York my old home was gone. [V] Good to know, though, that the South Bronx has been going through a rebuilding and revitilization.[:D][8D]
love the acela picture [8D]
Hey, I’m not sure if you’re aware but most of the links in the “cinema” section are not working. I’ve tried them on a couple occasions, so I don’t think it’s my computer (although knowing my computer it certainly could be). If you’re working on them, I’m sorry, I just wanted to make sure nothing was wrong.
Can’t wait for their return,
Erik
Thanks guys for all the comments!

I know exactly what your talking about, althogh I lived on the other side of the bronx, I pass their often. Must have been good to see the trains near the hell gate bridge.
DrummingTrainfan,
Sorry about those links, those will be corrected in the next update sometime later in July. Thanks making me aware of this.
