Amtrak names Hall, Commer to senior operations positions
About time there is somebody from the West Coast to be placed in a top management position in Amtrak. The West Coast seems to be unrepresented by Amtrak until this placement was made.
I live on the West Coast too. I would hope, however, that the position would be filled by the most qualified candidate, regardless of where they live.
And Guse will be appointed to head Amtrak’s newest department: “The Department of Negativism and Pessimism”. He’ll be the first from the Mid-West to represent Amtrak in a top management position.

If Scott Walker doesn’t get to Guse first, and give him a cushy administrative job a couple hours to the north.
