They better change that policy to “union members only” if it isn’t already. In New Jersey, the local unionized idiots are turning away non-union first responders from southern states.

Despite one Fox News allegation of non-union workers being turned away - it is baseless. According to press reports from the affected region and GA and Alabama nobody has been turned away - one of the organizations alleged by Fox to have been turned away never made it up North at the alleged time reported by Fox.

Any how, I think it’s a noble thing that Amtrak & Norfolk is doing. By the way, Norfolk Southern is private, yet, I don’t hear other privates making donations.
Repair of the infrastructure has to eventually come front and center politically. There is no escaping the fact that our taxes are going to have to go up to pay for this. Too bad there was no dialogue on transportation during the debates. It’s only going to get worse before they even can conduct a study on hw to make it better.
