Amtrak resumes ‘Surfliner’ service, commuter service still disrupted due to ongoing wildfires
Yesterday (Wed) afternoon, NB Surfliners were running on time, SB surfliners were running close to an hour late.
Today, 763 was running close to on-time, 580 was 5 min late into Irvine, on time into Solana Beach. Latest fire in Camp Pendleton about a mile or so away from the tracks, but much closer to the power lines.
I suppose Matthew Nichols would say; "Discontinue the Surfliners permanently and substitute the service with buses.
