Amtrak Texas Eagle to add stop in Arkansas

Guse’s fingers are probably about worm out. Maybe he’s giving us, I mean them, a break. Great to hear about the new station. Now if only Amtrak could get the money to buy new equipment for long distance trains.

This is good to hear. Hopefully AMTRAK will continue to see higher passenger growth. Providing more opportunity will lead to higher ridership.

I hate this auto correct stuff. I meant the Guse rant will come!!!

The Guse want will come… I’m listening to the Jeopardy music now as I wait for it!!!

When I rode the Texas Eagle twice last summer, the train was full both times. I had to rescedule my departure from Temple from Sunday to Monday on account of Hertz not accepting my return on Sunday. I booked a sleeper for that trip and Amtrak workede with me to see to it that I had sleeper space for my Monday departure. I just merely swapped roomette acroos the aisle since a rider was getting on at Fort Worth. Imagine an airline accommadating me! I’m sure their attutude would be TOO BAD!

Hope, Ar. can become a big tourist attraction. It is the childhood home of former president Bill Clinton. It hosts a Watermelon Festival each year too. The train station alone is worth the time to visit. Congratulations city of Hope.

Well, Chris, Amtrak DOES have single-level long distance cars on the way. Nowhere near what they need to be getting but, hey, it’s a start. At this point in time, I’d just settle for Amtrak to exercise it’s option for 70 additional cars. Just try prying the money out of the TEABaggers in the House of Reprehensibles.

Yeah, I have noticed that I now wait to see what entertaining, wacky comment Jeffery Guse has to say whenever Amtrak is mentioned.

Bill Clinton will be happy. And even Mitt Romney can no longer say that Amtrak is hopeless.

what, guse hasn’t gone on a delusional tea party rant yet about money spent on this station?

Maybe Guse has not complained as Mike Huckabee is also from Hope! Keep Hope alive!

Any bets on the justification for further padding an already very loose schedule? I’ll just bet the traffic won’t be the equivalent of Chicago.

Let’s hope Mutt Romney will remain a non-issue.

Any new, additional service is ALWAYS WELCOME. Each additional location served adds to the usefulness and value of the entire system.

Perseverance is going to pay off for Hope, AR. It’s nice to see that some small towns fighting to stay on the transportation map, be it buses, rail, or even air, want to mainitain their lifelines to alternative transportation. A film on Bill Clinton’s presidency at his presidential museum in Little Rock shows the Texas Eagle rolling thorugh Hope.

I wish there was service from Dallas to Houston. Just sayin… Extend heartland flyer to KC on the North end and Houston via Dallas on the South end. Meanwhile, welcome to the route Hope!
