Several years ago when I went to the train show in Oklahoma City, there was a vendor there selling complete Amtrak sets. They were already made up consists of the Southwest Chief, Empire Builder, Sunset Limited, Texas Eagle and so forth. When you bought one you got everything, all the cars and at least two engines. I have never seen this gentleman again at any of the shows in Oklahoma or in Wichita Kansas. Does anyone know of a Hobby Shop that sells sets like this anywhere? If not, guess I will have do just start buying it car by car.

It sounds like this vendor put these sets together himself. I don’t recall anybody selling complete consists of any of these trains.

I am looking for Ho Scale and the cars he was selling were all Walthers RTR. The engines were AMD103’s and I think Athearn. I wish I could find him again myself but by the time I ran across his booth at the show I had already spent my limit on other items I just could not live without. I am sure this was just something he put together himself and it was a big hit with everyone. He did sell quite a few of them.
I hate having limits [:D]. I hope he wasn’t selling the full sunset limited or chief, those trains aren’t usually small. Wish i would have been there but my checkbook is glad. [8D]
