Hello.
I am making a model of the Coast Starlight in Phase III. As I recall, at times during its history, Amtrak has had a policy of running no more than 18 cars per train (and likely adheres to this policy now). Also, at times, the consists on trains 3/4 and 11/14 have reached that limit. Does someone out there have data on this? I am particularly looking for a list of cars (type and number) on each of these trains on a particular day sometime during the time when Phase III reigned supreme. The dates don’t matter a whole lot as long as the consists were at maximum that day. If the power is not known, that is not much of a problem either, but I would prefer a complete consist for each, including the power and any private cars that might have been on the train.
