Amtrak

I have heard that regulars call it the Lateshore Limited. Looking at today and the last 5 days it ran between 3 and eight hours late arriving at Albany. I would leave a day early.

Go to Amtrak.Com and click on “Train Status”. The eastbound is train 48, fill in the rest of the info (station, dates, times) and you can get the status for the current day and 5 previous days. If you check for a couple weeks, you may get the sense on whether it is chronic or just a bad week.

LOL. Don’t ever count on the LATEshore Limited being on time…there is a reason they call it “limited”…

I have often taken the Lakeshore between Upstate NY and Chicago and the last time I remember it being truly on time it was hauled by a pair of NYCR cigar band E Units…

Good luck, and plan ahead…

Uh No because an Amtrak Yard Manager told me the Lake Shore (Lateshore) Limited is suppose to arrive at 9 A.M. but some times it get in as late 5 PM and don’t count on it leaving Chicago on time

The Late For Sure Limited got its name for a reason.[8]
