Has anyone else noticed that with Phase VI the word SUPERLINER is missing underneath the upper level windows? It’s been replaced with a very small version underneath the number of the car. Looks bare considering the word SUPERLINER has been there since the first ones were placed into service back in the 70’s. Also missing next to the number is what type of car it is. For example, Phase IV shows Sleeping Car 32000. Phase VI just has 32000.
do u have any pictures of this stuff you could post? i have to drive 2 hours to see any amtrak equipment, so all i get to see is what comes in the pages of trains. thanks.

Absolutely, I will take my digital camera with me next time and try to grab a photo. The train that stops here is only averaging one Superliner out of about 12 with the new paint scheme.
This will be quicker for those who haven’t seen the new paint scheme on the Superliners. I guess I shouldn’t call it Phase VI because it looks more like an update to Phase IV.

Thanx for the pictures. I have to drive at least 1-2 days to see anything amtrak. Although we did lease some Amtrak F40’s last summer.
Yes I have noticed. It doesn’t really look like right. I liked it much better when the word showed up clearly.
