An Idea for Trackside....

I read this weeks Trackside, and voted, But Then it dawned on me. Why not have a Trackside with Forum members each week also, The photos are submitted, and the Trains editors or staff choose the photos for competition, the Forum members can then vote as they do with the current Trackside(which will remain intact) Then on the last week of the month, Take the previous 3 weeks winners, and pit them against the winners of the previous 3 Trackside with Trains staff winners of those weeks. All 6 would submit another photo (Non Themed) and the Forum members can vote as we already do.

It was an idea I had, Not sure if Trains.com will go for it, but I think it would make things fun!

I had actually thought of that, but I think it would encourage the people who are really interested in rail photography to get out there and prectice!

I think it’s a great idea… I think it would be fun to go up against the Trains staff, and get some feedback on my images… The problem is, is how many photos would they have to deal with?? Dozens, hundreds???

It’s a great idea, though.

It’s obvious they don’t have enough to do if they’re all out taking pictures. [(-D]

Hmm. Hadn’t thought of that one Tim. But to help this I suggest having a timed entry. Say from 9-5 on Friday. If you miss the submission period, I guess you are SOL for the week.
