An MR quick look: N scale converted wood-chip gondola

I liked it so much I bought two (but I always buy two of everything LOL).

Anybody have an idea of how to weather the wood chips in this, so they don’t look so plastic and fake? I have never found n scale wood chips to cover it up!

The woodchip gondola is based on Micro-Trains recent drop-bottom gondola and looks like a winner. The lettering is razor sharp and the detail exceptional for a ready-to-run model. The model comes equipped with MT’s high flange wheels. It ran well on my Kato Unitrack test track but you might want to change those if you run Code 55 track. The coupler was at the correct height but then I use a Micro-Trains coupler gauge. I was not able to weigh the model but I had no problems with tracking. Another first rate product from Micro-Trains.

This is a beautiful car. As soon as I saw it in the magazine I had to get one. Nice Job!
