I was railfanning at the yard today, being respectful of trespassing (I was being watched), but I noticed what I think is one of the C&O Allegheny engines. It was huge. One of the yardmen told me it is an H-8 2-6-6-6. I managed to get a couple of shots of it on the ready track before it hooked up and towed a freight consist to the west. The guy said they’d be regular users…something about negotiated track rights.
