Great story, but didn’t the original Varsity run on the Milwaukee Road? It’s delight to read about people having fun on the train during the same week that airlines are reporting record earnings because of packing fewer flights with more people than they can comfortably hold. Another Facebook post this week told of a friend enjoying high speed rail travel in France. Perhaps excursions like this one will help increase public awareness of (and pressure to improve) rail passenger service in the USA.
I do like how you’ve focussed on the people on board. Their stories are interesting. I look forward to Part II.
there is nothing like riding in a dome car and other liquids which i have done many times i had a stroke and hopefully again i will , limited movement- enjoy nice car
