And now, the moment you've all been waiting for!

It’s the first picture of my new 7’ x 4’ HO scale layout!

I don’t exactly have the buildings, people, roads and cars in place yet, but the track is in place and ready for ballasting![:D] I painted the foam board that everything is on a fairly light brown, to look like the clay dirt we have around here.

So how’s it look so far?[:D][:D][:D]

Cooooooool. Keep the pics coming as you get er done.

I’ll make sure I do.[:)]

Looks great, can’t wait to see it all set up and finished.

Very nice, and a double main to boot! Is it your intent to add a couple of tracks inboard and a switch or two? Maybe a couple of industries?

I think you have done very well.

Looks good. Are you going to add a small yard or maybe an industry? I’ve been meaning to tell you something Darth- your sig says “BNSF’s GEVO (AC6000CW)” well BNSF has no AC6000’s and a 6000 isn’t a GEVO. That engine is either a ES44DC (GEVO) or ES44AC (GEVO) I can get out my BNSF roster and tell you sometime.

A double main for twice as much fun! Looks great

Guy

Thanks for the comment![:D]

I don’t believe I’ll be adding anymore tracks inside. I’m perfectly happy with the double loop. There’s also two switches connecting the two loops. I probably won’t be adding any industries, because I’m just using the 25+ year old stuff from my grandpa’s old layout, which is cheaper than buying new buildings.[:D][:D]

Sorry about the mix-up.[:I] I have changed it to ES44DC.[:)] I guess I can’t be right all the time.[:D]

Suggestion: Dab a couple variations of your brown to your undercoat. Then when you scenic, it won’t all be a flat color.

No problem. I hate to cause another mix-up but i checked the BNSF roster and #5744 is an ES44AC

JOIN THE DARK SIDE!
Seriosuly, it is an exellent layout.

Nice, you are doing better than I am , I’m still doing the concrete plains motif (basement floor).

Your doing very well, More pictures man, more pictures and please don’t keep us waiting no more.

I knew that…BNSF 5744 in an ES44AC!

I had to look that up.Too bad there isn’t a spotting feature w/ the 44AC and 44DC. They look the same. Maybe it’s cheaper to build if they have the same exterior. But the Ac4400 and DASH 9 can be easily identified from each other.
