Yes, Trainfest is approaching fast here in Milwaukee and each year Keith Schmidt and I try to organize a group photo shoot of Trains.com Forum participants in a get together and photo shoot. Needless to say Kalmbach staffers past and present are very welcome to join us – I believe Cody Grivno was in last year’s photo, and Mike Yuhas as well, and in some years the Kalmbach folks have been kind enough to take the pictures – so here is a copy of Keith’s posting in the Trains magazine part of the Forum.

Greetings,
Trainfest 2009 is drawing nigh. For the last couple of years we have attempted to organize a TRAINS.com Forum photo at Trainfest. We have met with mixed results and numbers. So lets try it again. Trainfest is held in Milwaukee, WI home of Kalmbach Publishing. So we usually meet at the Kalmbach booth at Trainfest.
Lets try 12noon on Saturday November 14, 2009 at the Kalmbach Booth. Here are some particulars for Trainfest. This isn’t set in stone lets see what works for folks.
When Saturday November 14, 2009 9am to 5:30pm
Sunday November 15, 2009 9am to 5:30pm
Where: Wisconsin Exposition Center - Wisconsin State Fair Park
Sorry Jeff won’t be joining us as I am pretty sure he won the “longest distance traveled” crown last year and maybe any year.
Anyway – this Saturday at Milwaukee’s Trainfest '09, we are having a group photo of folks who visit any of the Trains.com forums. The Kalmbach Booth at high noon. See you there.
Well here it is. The 2009 edition of the TRAINS.com Forum member photograph. They actually let us behind the cash register this year. Probably because we had two very trustworthy representatives of TRAINS and Kalmbach with us this year. I believe that dknelson has the attendance sheet and can fill in the names.
Thanks for coming out and letting others see the face behind the name.

Yes I do have the names and here they are, from left to right:
Kalmbach’s very own Matt Van Hattem
Mike Janke/WSOR 3801
Keith Schmidt
Chris Keating/Gluefinger (looking a bit, um, energized this year)
Jay Eaton/Jeaton (who I also met at the Kalmbach tent at Galesburg RR Days this summer)
Me, Dave Nelson (right behind Jay, wearing the Milwaukee Road shirt)
Kalmbach’s Mike Yuhas (that’s Mister Yuhas to you)
And lastly, Max Koehn/Lord Atmo (holding the herald to his beloved Chicago & North Western)

Thanks fellows for helping to keep this little tradition alive each year. And thanks to the Kalmbach employee, whose name I failed to catch, for taking the photo.
