I have checked in and they are getting setup for the christmas stuff. As of wednesday they did not have Lionel trains in yet but said they would have them on the shelves again this year. Yes I know its only early October but its never too early for a new set to come out.
In full agreement, I only regret waiting too long to snatch a deal on the C&NW passenger set of last year and finding them all sold out at regular prices. I am hopeful that another attractive consist will be the highlighted store set for this season, maybe with diesel on the point.
Some of the bigger retailers and manufacturers plan ahead, sometimes months and years, in advance for just Christmas alone.
Some items do come onto the market sooner, than is expected, I didn’t believe so, untill I worked for a retail store where anything became possible and for the most part normal.
