Another DCS question

Are there any DCS experts on this forum? If so, I need your help.

I have a Z4000 transformer, one remote, one TIU, and two AIUs. I’m trying to get one of the AIUs to operate my ROSS Custom switches (they have the DZ1000 switch machine). Everything appears to work except the switches. No lights to the switches, thus I assume no power to them. The remote does activate the switch mode in the AIU. I can hear the activation sound. And both the “straight” and “curve” selections on the remote work to activate the AIU. Just nothing past there. I hooked up a couple of switches using the conventional method (two button controls) and they work.

I checked and rechecked the wiring. The AIU has 3 hookup spots for each switch - one for “right”, one for “left”, and one for AC.

Any ideas what might be wrong?

Did you wire the switches like the DCS instructions tell you to? The common wire goes to the AIU center position and the other wires go to the switch for directional control, then the positive wire goes to the switch machine center terminal.

If you are not sure go to DZ Industries home page and look up the wiring for a DZ1000 switch machine. Basically you are just replacing the switch controller with the AIU device.
