This time it is a CSX train 2 engines one of them was CSX 318 no cars and I belive a newswoman said that one of the cars close to the engines was a loaded tanker that did not derail. It happened around 9 P.M. also NO INJURYS and NO DEATHS also there might be a delay on the McCormink Sub due to the wreck
2 out of 24 were loaded tankers 3 out of 24 derailed the 3rd unit was CSX 340 and the other one was 8??? also it was a CSX so overall 3 derailed and 3 units derailed
Yeah I heard about that on the news. They must have cleaned it up fast. I heard a train this morning at about 8:00. Last night I heard a train go by at 11:00PM and then another at 11:15PM. I figure that they parked the northbound in Modoc. The one I heard at 11:00PM probably meet the one that derailed in Modoc (if the derailed train was a northbound). All were on the Spartanburg Sub. After that train this morning I haven’t heard anymore. The train that derailed might have been the Erwin, TN to Waycross, GA mix. That’s just a guess. We don’t get many mix trains on that line. Mostly coal trains and double stacks from Charleston or Savannah making its way up to Tennessee.

Oskar do you know if the derailed train was a northbound or southbound. I assume it was a northbound
I belive it was going TO Augusta just to tell you I have not heard a train since monday night around 9 P.M. but I don’t think that was the train that one was going to Modoc later on I might listen to my scaner to see what’s up with CSX. Also the train your thinking of is Q693 that only goes at day time it arrives in Augusta at about 14:00 hours. you can check out the rest of Q693’s schedule at www.bullsheet.com
Yeah - it’s more of an intermodal, but mostly stacks. My fault! It goes to Kingsport to Eastman Chemicals. It goes every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The southwards go to the Port of Savannah for export. I know every Sunday when I get out of church at noon there is most of the time a Northbound sitting in the siding in Martinez.
Alright CSX is back on track I saw a couple of trains and one a BNSF SD9 that was so old CSX did not know how to start it so it just going on CSX’s trains
Mark you missed a SD9 that’s all and are you going train chasing I might. or just for a little I will be where the NS Bulk Trasfer is or where CSX and NS join
CSX is really back on track there was alot of trains ( about 5 or so usual for CSX in Augusta) CSX has 3 Empty Rock Trains waiting for crews. about 5 or 6 engines waiting for fuel a loaded and empty coal trains waiting. all CSX trains had either CSX,NS,CR,HLCX,LTEX. All NS trains had NS power
