Another E-8 pic (corrected).....Trying out another picture upload site...

I decided to try another pic sharing site mentioned on another post on this forum…The site does not have all the pop ups that the railpics.net site does…here is a test pic of an NS OCS led by Bennett Levin’s E-8’s at AR Tower http://dwil89.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=200804

Just watch, he’ll get his first shot selected as an editor’s pick.

//just jealous, David- I hope he does pick it

//Oh, and congrats on another star

A pic of an RJ Corman empty hopper train heading North through Ashville, Pa from Cresson to Fallen Timber Pa. to load a coaldrag. http://dwil89.rrpicturearchives.net/editPicture1.aspx?id=200834

http://dwil89.rrpicturearchives.net/editPicture1.aspx?id=200839 And a pic of the loaded train preparing to return South to Cresson, Pa

No…as I said, those E-8 pics had good weather and sun angle to help out…and thanks about the star…I noticed that myself…hit the 500 mark…

Very nice pictures.

It’s a shame Bennet Levin had to add ditch lights to his E units. Otherwise they would be full restorations to PRR glory and they don’t seem to be preventing any accidents. Just another cost to contend with due to a parent who’s daughter was killed at a garde crossing thinking it could have been prevented with more lights.

Nice work Dave.[8D]

Ditch Lights…Wonder how crew members feel about the addition of these lights…I think it would be a help in lighting the ROW nearer to the forward moving engine…and I for one do think it makes a difference that one can notice when approaching a rail crossing with an oncoming train…to see the blinking of the ditch lights to call additional attention a moving train IS approaching…Yes, I know all RR’s don’t connect them to be blinking when the engine is approaching the crossing but at least they are lit and perhaps make it more noticable to a driver…

Actually, the extra lights do make a train easier to see for non-railfans. We would notice the regular headlight since we are already looking for a train when we are at a grade crossing[:D].
