Another example of outstanding customer service

Hi,

I recently posted a question asking about converting N scale tenders to oil burners, and was directed to Ultimate N scale. I have just received my conversion kits today, and would like to relate my experiences dealing with this company, as I believe that good news deserves to be spread.

I ordered 3 of the ATSF style conversion kits, then placed a second order for one generic style kit. A couple of days later, I received an email from them, saying that they were shipping my two orders together and throwing in some extras, as I’d been charged for shipping on two separate orders. When I opened my package, I had 4 of the ATSF style kits, 3 of the generic kits and one kit for an N scale Challenger. They were prompt and courteous in all communications, and an example of how customer service should be handled.

Please, if you have any other positive experiences like this, don’t hesitate to share them.

Cheers,

tbdanny

This is refreshing and quite a change from the usual “Internet Hobby Shop XXXXX sucks!” etc!

I think we could do with more of the former and less of the latter. As Shakespeare said, “The evil men do live after them, the good is oft interred with their bones!”

I agree that it is a refreshing change, but knowing that there may be a internet store with a customer service problem that probably should be avoided is key for the model RR hobby to continue growing.

Perhaps when a negative issue occurs, the less use of emotional language ( i.e. ‘sucks’ or similar words ) would be better.
