my girlfreind has a near-perfect HOn3 Rio Grande loco, but we are having trouble locating any rolling stock that she likes to use with it…any ideas?
HOn3 is primarily a craftsmans scale - not a lot of RTR stuff out there, mostly kits and such. Do a Google search on “HOn3 rolling stock” and different combinations and you should come up with dealers’ listings and maybe manufacturers.

RTR stuff in HOn3 has been pretty much imited to brass up to this point. But your timing is pretty good in asking now about RTR rolling stock. Several manufacturersare scheduled to release new HOn3 products in the new year.
Micro-Trains has a C&S reefer car.
Black Stone Models (a division of Soundtraxx) has D&RGW boxcars and stockcars coming.
A new manufacturer, Peter Grace, will have flatcars, gondolas, a a built-up version of the Model Railroad General Store D&RGW stockcar out once some teething problems at his Indian factory are resolved.
And there are several items of affordable RTR motive power that we also hope to see soon.

a company called Rail Line makes a proper D&RGW Box Car, Stock Car, and flat car that would like lovely behind her engine. They are however advanced kits and you are going to have to provide trucks and couplers as well as paint and decal them. But they are very detailed. and turn out nice if you are up to the challenge.
