My little people are kept busy with all the maintenance and other choirs they perform. The water tank and and shed was built from a Fine Scale Miniatures kit, and is situated in the town of Cougar Flat on my Western Pacific layout.

Bob, great work. I checked a couple of other pics and in one of them you have what is obviously a wood plank crossing. What did you use? Balsa stained or painted brown?

All of my wood planking is done using alcohol and ink stains. I use the Wiggins brand I find at Michaels crafts store. The ink is mixed 20 / 80% using 92% alcohol. I don’t like using 70% alcohol because it contains 30% water and is prone to warping the wood. Btw, all my wood is basswood.
