Another Major Derailment

Today another BNSF coal train derailed. This train derailed in Ashland Nebraska. The train derailed only 15 miles away from Plattsmouth Nebraska where a coal train derailed only 2 weeks ago. This derailment was on the same line as the one in Plattsmouth too. Thankfully, nobody was injured in this derailment.

Sorry to hear of the derailment[:(] But GLAD no one was injured[^][:)]

an ns steel train derailed in Northen indiana over the weekend. 100 ton steel slabs bound for detroit all over the place but as in the case above no one was hurt.

Wasn’t there another derailment on the ex Waterlevel Route about a month ago a few miles from this one?

Where was the NS derailment? Anywhere near Porter/Chesterton? Are there any photos anywhere?

Dave

NS was in Corunna IN.

OK- Joe & Will2 have 2 derailments each - where will the “old wive’s tale” third ones be at?

Man!! Does that place EVER let you actually IN to it? Seems like everytime I’ve tried I get bounced, with some appeal to the site owner to upgrde for more bandwidth, (at a cost, no doubt) [:0]

Another BNSF Accident GET THE FRA INVOLVED

Never fear, the FRA is always near.

BNSF has been having a few derailments lately, but I have to give them credit. They haul all those heavy coal trains over that line and there are few derailments. I live on the same line about 100 miles away and I have been to Ashland many times. The tracks are fairly good there, considering there’s a grade to the west and all.
