Thats a real shame that they were stored away for 15 years. However, I do think we should contact the TCA because those definately are reproductions, not original.

Hard to say say since the ad wasnt geared towards the trains…

who knows how rotten the frame may have been around the battery, but generally 150 is average for silver top alcos.

Under normal circumstances I’d say that this thread was going to degenerate into one of those arguments over which is better: original versus reproductions. The last discussion had guys arguing over which was less expensive, a pristine original or a new repro. I can guarantee you repros are more expensive in this case. Jack.
