Another one "Bites the Dust" (LHS that is)

Received a call a week ago from George of Georges Model Trains in Dartmouth NS to come in and see if I was interested in anything. This type of call was not uncommon for George as he always liked to drum up a little bit of business and it wasn’t uncommon for me to go in a couple of times a month to see what was up and get my arm “twisted” in to buy something… Ya like I need encouragement!

Anyway as business hasn’t been the best as of late George is calling it quits after 17 years, (This was his retirement job!)

George will be missed as he was the one who got me back into MR’ng after a 15 year hiatus. We first met when he ran the Dartmouth Annual Train Show and at that time I was building Model Ships and our Ship Model Club had been invited to display our talents. By the end of the show I was walking out with 10 Boxcars! Ooops

So George I’d like to say “Thank You”

Regards and Happy Rails!

Always sad to hear of another hobby or train shop closing.
