Boston bound Acela #2910 hit and killed a person on its track in Wallingford CT about 8:30 AM Tuesday morning. Wallingford is just west of New London on the shore line. Four “Corridor” trains were backed up during the investigation. (as reported by WFSB ch3 and WTNH ch8)

The Police have released the name of the 29 year old woman and have ruled it “Suicide by Train”.
I know train crews that have been involved in this type of thing, they never forget it. The true victum is the Acela crew.
NJT reportedly had one Thursday when a woman jumped off the platform at Secaucus Jct. in front of a Suffern bound train as it came into the station.
To Henry6: I was at Secaucus Junction yesterday and saw the clean up and the body bag being taken away. But the best part was the local paper pointed out that NJ Transit trains have killed 13 people this year. It made it sound like the train came out of the woods like a bear and attacked the person. There is only one reason that a train kills someone. The person is in the way of the train.
