I have read through the sticky about posting photos but my question I don’t see addressed.
i copy and paste a link from my photobucket, so far so good. Once the photo is up in the thread and you click on it it then goes directly to my photobucket account.
What is it I am doing wrong? I tried clicking in the mountain icon and it still does the same thing. I really don’t want my account open for all to see. Thanks.
You should make a dedicated album where you keep your “public” photos. Then you can edit privacy settings at Photobucket so only those you provide the link to will have access.

Look for the padlock icon and “edit privacy settings” in PB.
Remember, you can copy photos into other albums so if you want to have the same photo across several albums just use the copy/move feature.
Remember, too, IF you make changes to the location of a photo already posted you will break the “link” and the photo will no longer appear in the linked posting unless you update the link.
Also, if YOU are logged into PB and you click on your own link it will open in YOUR Photobucket page. I have noticed that on “puplic” computers where I’m not logged into PB, only the photo I posted shows up but no other albums or photos.
Good Luck, Ed
On Photobucket, your Library consists of public and private albums. Put the desired photos in a private album in your Library. That way, only the photos in that particular private album can be seen by forum members who click on the link.
