I have an account with photobucket and can post to a thread but the photos seem to be so big.
What do I need to do to limit the size? I see that in the box to post an image there is a place to do this I think. But what size do I limit the picture to?
I did one in the test forum and it looked fine but when I tried to post to a thread it was huge.
You shouldn’t have to limit the size, as this site seems to do it automatically.
In photobucket, simply click on the image which you want to use, then click on the “img…” line of data. That copies the photo, then all you need to do here is “PASTE” it into your composition window here. It’ll show as data there, but as a properly re-sized photo once you click “Submit Your Reply”.
Also, if you click on an image here from photobucket, it’ll take you to that photo in photobucket, where you can click on the magnifying glass icon (to the right, immediately above the photo). This will yield a larger image - full-screen for mine, and close to the same for Rich’s photo.
LION uses a “resize” utility added to the Windows 7 operating system. No matter how you do it, you do want to resize them before before uploading them to photo bucket. (Google ImageResizer–it only shows up as an option when you right click on a photo on your computer.)
Yes this site resizes the display of these photos, but not the size that you put on photobucket. When we click on the forum, we must down load the entire huge photo before it can be displayed. Courtsey suggest to use a smaller size photo.
I went to photobucket picked a photo out of the library ,pulled down the links and selected direct, went to reply and selected insert image, pasted the link from photo bucket and this is what I get.
if you have not done it yet, form albums and don’t move a pic into a different album. To easy to lose track of where pics are. If you try, you will be warned by Photo Bucket.
LION has lots and lots of pictures, all on server of him.
LION uses a file name system so him can find a photo on that server if him wants to use it again.
bl-sigxxxxxxx would be a signal on my layout bl-canalxxxx would be a picture of my canal street station. The “x” represents numbers the number is the date in LION NOTATION. (alphabetical figures.) The signal of LION is bl-sig150122.jpg
Year 15, Month 01, Day 22 . jpg
See it wroks just fine. LION just finished the signal a few minutes ago.
Web server of LION is on a different computer from the workstation of him, but it is mapped to the B:\ drive for really easy use.
