The Rock Island depot in West Liberty IA contains a rr museum & CC office. In the middle of the lawn is this caboose & MOW vehicle. Volunteers are restoring the caboose. Vic Scherer (sp), a neighbor & senior worker, came over to talk to us when we stopped. They are selling small commemorative bricks at the office to support the cause.

Recently I spotted a gloss red flattop cab painted RI @ Guymon, OK in the midtown park just off US 54. What the history of this car holds, I do not know
There is a nicely painted CRIP caboose at Belleville, KS (CRIP Des Moines Division division point and small yard where the lines converge from KC/Topeka and Lincoln/Omaha en route to Denver…) on US-36 just east of US-83…
I’m still puzzled by the strange looking doodlebug restoration at Fairbury, NE…looks more like a weed sprayer than a doodlebug…
