Would the El Capitan from June 1969 have been combined with the Super Chief or did this combination happen later? I have seen a photo in a book from September of 1969 where they were combined.

I visited Chillicothe, IL several times in the 1960’s and saw it usually combined during the fall through Spring and separate during the summer months. I emphasize usually as any day’s traffic levels might dictate something different.
