Another Texas Derailment for UP

HOUSTON (AP) – Hazardous materials crews are working to stabilize the situation in the wake of an early morning freight train derailment in Houston today.
Eleven cars of a Union Pacific freight train hopped the track at the U-P switching yard in northeast Houston. Five of the derailed cars are tankers containing liquefied petroleum gas. Three of the tanker cars – including a full one – fell into a bayou.
No leaks, injuries, evacuations nor street closures have been reported. An investigation has begun into its cause.
Cranes are being used to right the toppled cars. Clean-up work is expected to take all day.
