Mea Culpa. I didn’t realize that I didn’t post it. I saw it when it happened. My 5 year old grandson wanted to know it that was snow. He had a little trouble believing that is was limestone. That is, of course, the Piedmont.

As long as we are on the subject, the Crescent hit another pedestrian a couple of nights ago. He was apparently passed out on the tracks at 3 AM. A bar tender has been arrested as a result of the investigation.

I still think we should be on a long term course to eliminate grade level crossings. People are too stupid to be allowed to drive across railroad tracks.

The pedestrian:

Grade crossings are immaterial - the track draw stupidity to come to rest upon them.

In the past 15 years or so several people have been hit by the Acela between Princeton Junction and Hamilton, New Jersey. In all the cases I read about the people were committing suicide and were deliberately on the track.
