Antique trains in FL/GA area?

Hi,
I’m a film student at Florida State University. We are looking to film an operational train in the Florida, Georgia area… the older the better.
If anyone knows of trains that would fit this category your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

The only one that I am aware of is the Mt Dora Scenic Railway that features the Mt Dora Doodlebug and the Mt Dora Cannonball, a 1913
2-6-2. Here is a link to more info on them.

See the News Wire on this website for Dec. 3rd concerning the operation at Mount Dora. it has a new operator and is now known as the Orlando & Mount Dora. AFAIK this is the only steam locomotive operating in the GA-FL area. If you are looking to film a Diesel freight operation with older power, there are a number of short lines much closer to Tallahassee like the Ga. & Fla. RailNet from Perry, FL, to Albany, GA.

Thanks so much Gregg and John!
Does anyone have the new contact info under the new operator. I’ve tried calling several times the number on the website and have had no luck. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks again!

There is also a scenic railway in Blueridge, Georgia. It is a diesel powered train of first generation diesels and vintage passenger equipment. A GP-35 on either end of the train powers the train. It utilizes the former L&N hook and eye division. The train goes from Blueridge, Ga to McCaysville, Ga. The web sight is brscenic.com.
