There is a slight-moderate potential for me to gain employment as an Amtrak conductor in the NE Corridor, and was curious about what all this job entails. I guess they just hired a bunch of engineers, so that is out, but from what I have been told, a lot of the conductors move on to engineer.
I don’t really know how I feel about a career change at this point in my life, but this may be great opportunity. I never really put any serious thought into railroad employment so I am not sure about this whole thing. Any input is appreciated.
