Saw the Alabama thread and noticed there’s been darn little about RRs in MS. An article or two on the KCS takeover of Midsouth is all I’ve found. Maybe there is older stuff on ICG and IC? Short Lines?

I would be interested in MS information, too. So far I haven’t found any, to speak of. I inquired whether the IC’s old Water Valley line was still in use, wondered if CSX was still planning to relocate their Jacksonville-New Orleans line north of I-10 and if Jackson might be a possibility for a future trackside guide…
I will be in MS next April; am hoping to do some railfanning.
