Any BNSF Dispatchers on the forum?

I ask because I am building a model railroad and modeling the BNSF Cherokee sub, Avard sub, and Creek sub. I am interested in finding out what trains transit the sub’s so I can do the same. I know that it can vary alot, but in listening to my scanner it seems that there are some that run all of the time.

Examples of trains I hear on a regular basis include, Tulsa-Lincoln; Tulsa-Galesberg; Tulsa-Birmingham; Tulsa-Kansas City; Tulsa-Memphis; Tulsa-Temple; Tulsa-Amarillo; Tulsa-Springfield; Tulsa-St. Louis; Tulsa-Alliance (not sure if it is TX, or NE) and of course the locals 107; 108; and 466.

These trains usually talk to the dispatcher at East Tulsa before getting underway, or to Trimmer Tower upon arriving at East Tulsa, therefore they were easy to figure out. The through trains are abit tougher to figure out as they usually are addressed as the engine roadnumber as you know. Most of these seem to be stack trains and piggyback trains. Most of them transit the Cherokee sub to Avard Sub, but a few go down the Creek sub.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Not a DS but you can take all your TUL and which ever destination and tunr them around ie GALTUL TULGAL are daily.
If its a stack at the front trailers at the rear its usually a Z train.WSP would be your first three ( if out of Willow heading south I know we send some to KC to go south) Stacks are S and V is Vehicle train mostly auto racks with some containers and pigs.Q is supposed to be for quality we just call em quagmires ( ha ha)
If you can talk to a crew in the area. SOme might even be model rails and railfans. One of the cons up here is a big modeler! Plus we have a few armchair guys and history buffs so you never know. Good luck

Bump.

Tulsa-Alliance would be Texas.

That was my first guess but they were on the Claremore radio and not the Preston radio so I wan’t sure.

Well since nobody replied claiming they are a BNSF DS I guess that means at this time there is none on this board. [:o)]

Yes, what you say is true. Both Claremore and Preston Radio are on 160.920 and the Cherokee Sub dispatcher works the area between Cherokee yard and Sapulpa to the Sooner sub and Creek Sub split in Sapulpa. I thought both the Sooner Sub and Creek sub were dark. The Avard Sub to the west is on the Tulsa Radio on 160.770 and it is all TWC, so lots of traffic on that channel. I can hear the Eastbounds talking to Trimmer Tower at East Tulsa, and they usually announce their train symbol so I have been able to figure out some of the symbols.

I’ll keep hunting.

The Sooner sub has been dark for at least two decades.
