Any Consensus on Digitraxx Soundbug?

I read through the earlier posts re: soundbug and quality and bits etc.

What do they sound like? Are they worth it for the modest price?

Also, I am thinking of using 4 speakers (I have lots lying around)…what is the best way to wire them? I know how to get the 4 to result in 8 ohms load in series/parallel, but is this the best thing for the Soundbug?

Should I wire them to get as close as possible to the normal 30+ohm rating for this decoder?

They sound the same as the regular SFX decoders.

In terms of the speaker, the best one is the speaker supplied with the unit. Ohms should be between 16 and 32 and should be close to the .25 watts that the unit is looking for. If you are going to use multiple Soundtraxx speakers in series (so to ADD the ohmage), make sure you use the .1 watt speakers and NOT the 1 watt speakers (the sound will distort).

I personally use a smaller pre-baffeled 32 ohm speaker with the unit that sounds just as good as the supplied speaker.
