I am going to meeting this week in Miami, Florida. Any hobby shops worth visiting while I am there? TIA - Nevin
Orange Blossom Classic used to be the best (and almost only). I think they went out of business about 1 or 2 years ago (or they moved somewhere else). I haven’t lived in Miami since 1964, but visit every year or two. I haven’t found much. Try the yellow pages when you get there. 1953 Red Raider
I don’t remember the name I am afraid, but I visited a hobby shop not far from I95 a few exits north of the Miami beach area. It was in a really rough area but the shop was one of the best stocked LHS I have ever visited. It was about a year ago, so hopefully still there.
The one Simon is thinking of is probably Ready To Roll.

A great shop in an unbelievably bad looking area. [:D] Go to the site and get the map to it. Don’t get frightened by the area. It’s a warehouse type area with razor wire on all fences, etc. But it’s a great shop.
The other choice is Texnrails

I haven’t been there for awhile, but it was worth the trip, too.

That’s the one. Well worth a visit. Note that the web site has no exterior shots of the building!!
I live in the FL Keys and whenever the wife and I head up to Miami we stop at RTR. Large store, friendly folks. Never got a real deal but you can take it home, no s&h charges. They overnight stuff to me down here often.
